What is Mastering?
Many people underestimate the difference professional mastering
can make to a recording, track or album. It is often an
afterthought and frequently overlooked entirely.
Mastering enables your music stand up in comparison to commercially
produced material. It also makes for a much better listening
experience across a range of audio systems, ensuring a solid/fat
bass, sparkling top end and clear midrange.
So whether you are listening at home, in the car, or on your
iPod, your music will sound at it's absolute best.

How do I upload my music?
It is easy to upload you music (please look at the mastering
guidelines before uploading)
All you need to do is visit www.sendspace.com, upload your track/s and then
send us the download link - There is no need to register!
How do I pay for mastering?
After uploading your track/s you will receive
confirmation that your tracks have been succesfully received and have been checked out for mastering.
The email will contain a payment link. If you are happy to proceed then payment is made and mastering can commence.
We use paypal to process all payments. This means that you can
make 100% secure payment by Credit/Debit Card or your paypal
account.
You do not need a paypal account
Why should I pay extra for MP3 masters, can't I convert them
myself?
Clipping & distortion can be introduced if tracks are not specifically mastered to MP3 format. We use converters of the highest standard and render your track directly to MP3 format so you can always be assured of the highest quality MP3 for digital distribution.
How long does it take?
It all depends on how busy we are at the time. Normally we can
turn single tracks around the same day and albums/E.P.'s take
around 1-2 days.
Is online mastering inferior to other mastering?
There is no difference in quality of mastering whatsoever between online mastering
and attending a mastering studio in person. The only difference
being is that you can have a professional master without leaving your
chair!
Can I/we attend the mastering session?
As Cosmic Online Mastering is an online mastering house attended mastering sessions are not available.
How can you offer professional audio mastering at such low prices?
Being an online mastering house it enables us to keep our
overheads as low as possible.
What happens if I’m not entirely happy with the results of
the mastering?
In the unlikely event that you feel some mastering adjustments are necessary all you need to do is contact us and we do this free of charge. .
